Manager, Quality Assurance
Manages the development and implementation of the Quality Engineering function to ensure that VACCO Space Products and Services meet specifications and contractual agreements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of communication and credibitlity with DCMA, Customer Representatives, Regulatory Agencies and other external quality personnel.
Implement requirements of Quality Assurance Manual and procedures on Space processes and products as required.
Manage Space Quality Engineering personnel, including monitoring utilization and efficiency, meeting project spend, establishing processes for assignment and completion of daily tasks including methods of tracking cycle time of supporting actions/documentation.
Report on the Space metrics on a monthly basis in support of the Monthly Business Unit Review. Submit required information on Statistical and Systems Trend Analysis.
Implement necessary training ensuring that staff adheres to training and training standards.
Initiate VACCO response to Space related DCMA Corrective Actions (DCMA CARS) or Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR's) and/or any associated customer deficiency reports.
Execute Quality Engineering functions on all assigned projects.
EDUCATION and/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor or Science degree (G.S.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of six years related experience; a minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required. Due to the sensitive nature of our defense contracts, candidate must be able to verify their U.S. Citizen status.
