Responsible for the preparation of proposals, cost estimation, earned value reporting, and other supporting analyses as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare cost proposals in response to customer solicitations using historical cost data and estimates from various functional areas in developing final pricing objectives. Cost elements include direct labor (hours and rates), direct material, applicable overhead cost rates, and profit considerations.
Prepare time-phased budgets to be used in preparation of funding tables for proposal to customers. Substantiate proposed costs using clear and concise supporting.
Participate in pricing review meetings to ensure that all costs are accurately estimated. Make necessary changes to proposals.
Provide timely monthly/quarterly Earned Value reports and detailed analysis for any significant cost/schedule variances to Program Management for submission to customer.
Provide weekly actual cost reports, revised forecasts, and ad hoc reports as in support of Earned Value Management.
Analyze significant cost and schedule variances, identifying root cause.
Create project work orders and budgets into WDS, which reconcile to the contract value.
Document all baseline changes modifying the budget in WDS.
Prepare major program EAC’s by determining eligible projects, defining the baseline, tracking actuals, providing profitability analyses, and the distribution of the final EAC’s to management.
Experience using FAS (fixed asset) software program. Proficient in the use of MS Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing/job costing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
