Using various computer application programs develops and revises CNC programs for CNC Mill and CNC Lathes. Apply extensive knowledge of precision machine operation and programming such as CNC mills and CNC lathes as well as conventional machines. Responsible for the creation of drawings, tooling and fixturing documents. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and applications, uses of calibrated tools and inspection criteria. Extensive knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation and specification /standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be versed in basic shop theory, blueprint reading and layout work involving complicated calculations related to programming and tooling fabrication. Basic knowledge of structural development and fabrication, drafting technologyu and grapic CAM systems. Ability to effectively communicate with Shop Personnel. Must be task driven and able to work effectively in a team environment. General understanding of the entire machining/manufacturing process. Basic abilities in the use of MS Work and Excel. Requires basic math skills and blueprint reading. Experience with CAD-CAM software, such as MasterCam adn both lathe and mill machining concepts.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two year certificate from college or technical school; with a minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or training; or a HS diploma or GED certificate with a minimum of seven (7) years experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
